Kirkwood House is renowned for its hospitality, cleanliness and homely atmosphere. Conveniently located near the river, city centre, university colleges and most major business parks.
Kirkwood House provides comfortable, pleasant accommodation with a lovely homely atmosphere. All rooms are en- suite and centrally heated. Some rooms overlook our beautiful garden.
In reception there is a payphone that may be used by all guests. Alongside this is a wide selection of maps, pamphlets and general information on Cambridge. An iron and ironing board are also available on request.

All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.

With regards to the child policy, children under 2 years old stay free when staying with one other adult.

For breakfast we offer a choice of Traditional English,Vegetarian or Continental.To accompany your breakfast you also receive fruit juice,a selection of cereals,toast jam and marmalade and tea or coffee.
By road
Cambridge is well served by local and national road networks. From London or Stansted Airport, the M11 provides the most direct route.
From the north the A14 brings traffic from the A1 (M) to the north of Cambridge. The west and east are served by the A14 running from near Birmingham to Felixstowe. It is easiest to join the A14 and turn off at the Milton exit (near the Science Park). Follow the road towards the city centre until you come to a roundabout (about 1 mile from the A14), turn left and then right at the next roundabout. We are just on the left.
By train
Getting to and from London is straightforward. Direct trains to Liverpool Street and Kings Cross are frequent from Cambridge and take about 1 hour. It is also simple to get to and from Stansted Airport. There are some direct trains from Manchester and Birmingham; these are cross country and can be slow. From the north, you will need to change at Peterborough and probably Ely.
